D.D. Aug. 2nd: Weapon Sketches

Several weapons from Vera.

Top:  The standard issue imperial legion sword.  Made of a copper alloy the blade is designed for slashing overhead or underarm.  The tip is blunt and can be used to push enemies back or away from the user. Easily used and designed for use in a formation with other soldiers from behind a heavy shield. 

Right Side: A small throwing ax used by raiders and warriors in Druadica, weighted specifically to throw and not to be used in melee.  Some raiders from the Dylos or De-Houh houses of Druadica will carry several to throw at enemies or use duel wielding.

Middle: Short sword used by the soldiers of Druadica, double edge blade with a sharp tip for thrusting attacks.  Hilt is heavy to balance the broad design of the blade, the blade is made of iron or some iron based alloy depending of the region it is forged in.  This blade is a house guards of the House Mount, the sun on the hilt is the sigil of the house.

Bottom:  A two handed battle ax used by priest and clerics in Druadica, and some times soldiers employed by the houses.  The haft is made from a hard wood that can be used to block slashes or shield bashes.  The head is almost over heavy for the length of the haft, almost functioning more as a blunt weapon then bladed against armored enemies. Very ornate versions of this style ax are used by the Brotherhood of the Bearded Ax.
